Home Financial Network, Inc. (HFN), today announced that Robert S. Charney has joined Home Financial Network as Senior Vice-President of Sales. Mr. Charney directs all national and international sales efforts at HFN. Since joining HFN, Mr. Charney has added four professionals to the sales staff to accommodate the company's rapidly expanding sales activities.
Prior to joining HFN, Mr. Charney was Eastern Region Sales Director of Edify Corporation. During Mr. Charney's five-year tenure with them, he was responsible for developing the eastern region from an account base of zero, to the largest revenue-producing region. Mr. Charney launched their electronic banking business in the East and was responsible for retaining the first banking clients in the area as well as the largest nation-wide.
Prior to joining Edify, Mr. Charney held the position of Regional Director at HEC, a health care system provider. Mr. Charney also spent three years at Systems Center as a Regional Director, where he was responsible for establishing NDM as the standard for electronic funds clearing in the Securities Industry. Before Systems Center, he was the National Account Manager for the finance team at IBM where he was responsible for selling the broad range of IBM products into the financial market. He also has a background in banking having spent three years in various positions at Westport Bank and Trust. Mr. Charney has a BS in Finance from Babson College and an MBA in Finance from University of Bridgeport.
